How to Add a Document

 

Step One

To start adding a document, navigate to the page you want to edit in the admin area.

Step Two

Click the blue ‘Frontend Editor’ button. This will bring you up to the Frontend Editor page, where you can see a live update of website changes that you make on the page.

Step Three

Add a text box or hover over the edit button of a current text box that you want to the document to.

Step Four

Once the Text Block Settings box has opened, move your cursor where you want to add the document (for example, highlighted by the green box)

Click on the ‘Add Media’ button (highlighted by the red box)

Step Five

The Media Library will then pop up. If the document you want to add is already in the Media Library you can find it and click on it, then press the ‘Insert into page’.

If you need to upload the document from your computer, you can click the ‘Upload Files’ button.

Step Six

You can then click the ‘Select Files’ button to bring up your computer files.

Step Seven

Select the file you want to upload.

Step Eight

Once your file has uploaded, click on it.

Step Nine

You will then need to give your document a title, that will show up on the website page. For example ‘Download our Privacy Policy’.

Once you are happy with the name, click the blue ‘Insert into page’ button.

Step Ten

This will take you back to the ‘Text Block Settings’ box, where you will be able to see the text for the document.

Click the ‘Save Changes’ button once you are happy.

Step Eleven

Click on the exit ‘x’ button on the Text Block Settings box to return to the live view page.

Step Twelve

You can now see the document that you have uploaded in the live view.

Step Thirteen

Remember to press the light blue ‘Update’ button in the top right hand corner of the Frontend Editor.
