WordPress Developer
CODA Education are a team of creatives specialising in creating websites, photography, videography, virtual tours and prospectuses for schools and trusts across the UK.
We are based in Nottingham and offer flexible working solutions for our team. As part of our scaling, we are looking for an ambitious, self-motivated team member to join our brilliant team.
What you will be doing:
You’ll play a key role in developing WordPress websites to a high standard.
You’ll work closely with the web designers and project management team to ensure smooth, speedy and high quality deliverables.
You’ll be working with our support team to ensure fast responses to technical support issues.
Play a part in developing innovative ideas and implementing them with the wider team.
Updating our current websites to meet modern web standards.
Keep our websites up-to-date with the latest technologies, services and trends.
What we’re looking for:
Strong website development experience with HTML, CSS, JS, PHP & MySQL
Demonstrable WordPress experience across multiple projects
Awareness of SEO and the importance of semantic HTML elements
Strong awareness and skills in responsive design
Knowledge and implementation of WCAG 2.1
A proactive collaborator with excellent communication skills
Ability to deliver under tight deadlines and have excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to receive and respond to constructive feedback and offer it to others
Ability to adapt your approach for different project constraints
The ability to design websites and knowledge of UX / UI (not essential)
Experience in developing ecommerce websites (not essential)
Experience in setting up payment processors e.g. Stripe, PayPal, Sage, WorldPay (not essential)
